City High School, Nairobi
City High School was established in Nairobi, Kenya in 1952 by the Sharma family. They managed several high schools in Ngara area. Ram Lal Sharma, who was the school's proprietor in the 1970s, was a follower of Hare Krishna.〔(Prof. Wajackoyah's Biography ), glw4president.com website, accessed 8 March 2011〕 City High was one of the Sharma family's last schools to be left standing.
On October 31, 1964, around 1,000 boys at the school went on strike in complaint about inadequate facilities at the school.
